Join the community in supporting the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive, a nationwide effort to help fight hunger and stock local food pantries with much-needed nonperishable food items. Residents are encouraged to leave canned goods and shelf-stable food donations near their mailbox for pickup by mail carriers during their regular routes.
Locally, the event is supported through a partnership with the United Way of West Central Mississippi and the Vicksburg Warren School District Kimmy Melton Canned Food Drive. Donations collected through schools and community participation help provide food assistance to families throughout the region.
Volunteers are also needed to assist with unloading mail carrier trucks and sorting donations at the post office. Whether you donate food or volunteer your time, your support helps make a direct impact on neighbors facing food insecurity. Together, we can make a difference — one canned good at a time.
